Andy Johnson has 34 years of on-air experience in a top 20 television market. He also has 34 years of experience as a Consulting Meteorologist and holds the American Meteorological Society's Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) designation (#433). The CCM program confers certfiicates based upon strict criteria related to knowledge, experiencd and character. Andy Johnson also holds the American Meteorological Society's Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation and holds certfiicate #8 in the country. Andy Johnson is one of a few individuals who is certified as both a CCM and a CBM. As a Forensic Meteorological Consultant, Andy Johnson has conducted research for legal, insurance and engineering firms and government agencies in an effective and thorough manner with integrity. As a on-air meteorologist, Andy Johnson was consistently rated #1 in Neilsen ratings in his time slot as a meteorologist for WTVT from the time it was a CBS affiliate to the present time as a FOX owned and operated station. As a forensic meteorological consultant, Andy Johnson has prepared thousands of scientifc reports for legal, engineering and insurance firms involving hurricanes, hail, personal injury, flooding, tornadoes, storm surge, train accidents and automobile accidents. Andy Johnson has also testified in numerous cases as an expert witness for both the defense and the plaintiff.
